As the sole proprietor of Insurance Consulting Expertise, a New York State certified woman-owned business enterprise, Ronda Anderson has provided services specializing in Workers’ Compensation and risk management since 1997. Ronda specializes in performing claims audits, monitoring ongoing claims, participating in claims reviews and providing recommendations to improve claims management for self insured associations, trade associations, insurance carriers, brokers, governmental entities and third party administrators.

Auditing services include reviewing claims handled by major insurance companies and third party administrators as well as self insurer’s yearly internal claims reviews. Ongoing claims monitoring includes interacting with claims management and clients as a liaison. Also incorporated are monitoring claims electronically and participating in periodic claims reviews, providing specific recommendations to improve claims management, and expediting claims closings.

Risk management services include assisting trade organization representing employers with similar risks and hazards in establishing baseline requirements and monitoring their claims to reduce their Workers Compensation costs and promote safety. Custom tailoring a database to the employer’s specifications helps to track losses and reserves and provides them with information for safety management and dashboard analysis. Ronda has chaired safety committee meetings and provided walk-around inspections to identify hazards and unsafe behaviors.

Ronda’s twenty years of front line experience working as an adjuster and claims supervisor has given her invaluable insight and knowledge to assist clients today. This experience includes working as a Claims Supervisor with Electric Mutual (Parent Company-General Electric) and with Acordia Resort Services as Senior Claims Adjuster (CNA Insurance.)

Ronda earned the professional designation of Associates in Claims and Automation Management. Realizing that safety is the first risk management tool, she obtained the professional designation of Associates in Loss Control Management, Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health from Cornell University and is an OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer. Ronda has also proudly accepted the “Safety in Skiing Award” in 2007 from The Ski Areas of New York.

Reported directly to Chief Risk Control Officer for North America and interfaced with Willis leadership. Responsibilities included managing a staff of Risk Control personnel in the Northeast Region, handling a client workload and managing the Environmental, Safety and Health program for Willis North America operations. Day-to-day responsibilities included providing direct risk control services to major clients, workload management of staff, and directing risk control services to Willis offices including developing strategies to effectively support local facility management in their loss control efforts. 1977 - 1980 - JRB Associates, Inc. - Program Manager - Safety for this large government contractor in McLean, VA. The position responsibilities included managing multiple government and private industry contracts relating to safety. Contracts included the development of OSHA Compliance Officer training programs and a NIOSH Machine Guarding project. Duties included managing a core staff of four safety engineers, performance review and department budget responsibilities, as well as directing the activities of 28 professionals.

John Paglione brings more than 40 years in the information technology field, holding senior management positions in major financial institutions and information technology solutions companies. John’s background and expertise complement North Shore Risk services. His experience in the information technology field assisting clients in a variety of vertical markets through a hands on approach of accessing current operations, budgets, policy and procedures and developing, and managing business plans from inception to implementation to help clients meet their desired objectives and goals broaden North Shore Risk analytical and operational capabilities.

His extensive experience includes project management including Project Management Office (PMO) oversight, conduct of Due Diligence reviews for merger and acquisition activities, and Contingency, Business Interruption and Disaster Recovery planning. He has facilitated product assessments, design, development, system integration, testing and implementation. John also has facilitated client efforts in the development/review of Request For Information (RFI), and Request For Proposal (RFP).

Drawing on his diversified background and proven track record in positions at the Senior Management levels, John enhances North Shore Risk ability to provide client organizations the technical leadership, team building and oversight required during transition and project implementation.
